Community Service Aides oversee the radio room, secure prisoners, and may respond to minor complaints outside of the police station. This role is essential in helping make Lancaster one of the safest cities to live, work, and thrive.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be able to work on-site at the Police Station in Lancaster City.

Testing & Background Checks

Must pass drug screening, background investigation, polygraph, and all requirements of the Criminal History Records Act, Chapter 91 of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code.
