About the Position
The Cadet Program offers a part-time apprenticeship-type position designed to provide knowledge and training to aspiring young adults, ages 18 – 20 years old, interested in becoming future police officers.
The Cadet Program fills the gap that exists between high school graduation and the 21st birthday of those pursuing a career in law enforcement.
Cadets will have the opportunity to experience the challenges and rewards of a police career by serving in a support role to uniformed police officers and police civilian employees.
This program aims to continue strengthening the relationship between the youth of the community and the police.
